Sustainability Promise
OUR STUDENTS DEMAND THAT WE DO BETTER – AND WE WANT TO DO BETTER TOO!
We are aware of our role as a publisher in driving more sustainable practices for suppliers. Whilst there is still much to do, we are always looking to improve and are confident that we are taking the right steps towards sustainable revision.
A survey by Natural England revealed that nearly 8 in 10 8–15 year-olds (78%) agreed that looking after the environment was important to them, and more than 8 in 10 (81%) said they wanted to do more to look after the environment.*
Oxford Revise is printed in the UK, on Forest Stewardship Council certified sustainable paper, and using vegetable-based inks. The series is produced at our Head Office in Oxford, which is powered by renewable electricity and sends zero waste to landfill.
Oxford University Press is committed to being a responsible publisher and has set the following global targets to be achieved by 2025:
-
- Carbon neutral from its operations (offices, warehouses, and business travel)
- 100% certified sustainable book paper
- Zero waste to landfill (in markets with necessary infrastructure)
We are a signatory to the Publishing Declares climate pledge, and to the UN Sustainable Development Goal Publishers Compact. See our Responsible Publishing Report for more details.**
